Cast paper art by artist Kevin Dyer. I specialize in Celtic art, Celtic knots , Celtic blessings, Celtic wheels, zoomorphics, fairies, fantasy art, dragons, trees, nature art, Scottish art, Irish art, Irish blessings, Welsh art and more. A typical piece begins as a drawing and then I sculpt it in wax. This is a long involved process and often the image sculpted turns out far different that the drawing that inspired it. Then I build a dam around the carved wax and then pour a rubber mold directly off the surface. A casting is made by pressing ground wet
cotton pulp into the rubber mold and extracting the water. Then I finish the surface with several layers of paint.
