When we decided to open TheDarkroom it was mostly a darkroom for rent for students of photography of the major photography schools in Florence, Italy. In few years, thanks to solid and original programs for to study photography professionally, conceived by the photographer Michele Pero, the school took over all other photography schools in Florence. In few years we became the most attractive school of photography in Italy. Since then photography has changed. So we have changed with photography. We included multi medial subject matters since the year 2009. Nowadays we do prepare many students from all over the world to their future life as pros of photography. Our most important course is the academic course of professional photography and multimedia. Consisting of 8 intensive months of study, the beginner takes his/her steps from scratches to a high end level of mastering any photography technique. From film and darkroom to digital, from the computer to the studio, from still life to fashion photography, including our top of the list master course of photojournalism. The school provides our buddy photographers with multi medial tools for to promote themselve, such as the IN TheDarkroom blog where they can publish their articles and promote their activity on the web, as well as the network of certificated students FotoLowCost.net, which is a portal for to collect the major and most noticeable young professionals which have finished their studies at TheDarkroom. A new tool for to put in contact the student with the market promoting their photographs to the web and showcasing their brands. A plus added to our curricula.
