Win Henstock’s first love is painting. As a Plein Air artist Win strives to convey what she sees to her viewer through use of color, rich values, bold composition and effects of shade and light… Whether landscape, seascapes or people in natural or urban surroundings, it is her intention to capture the fleeting light – the essence of the moment. She is happiest when painting from life; being a story teller through her work. “I couldn’t go a day without painting – it is my greatest pleasure and satisfaction.” Her work has been juried into the Toronto Arts and Letters Club. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and juried shows – both solo and group – in Canada as well as the United States. Win enjoys teaching classes, both in Watercolour as well as Oil and Acrylics. This presents her with a way of sharing her art not only through the paintings themselves, but also leaving an impression with the next generation of artists. Originally from Great Britain, Win and her husband now reside in Oakville, Canada.
